Tis the Season for...Eating Turkey!
Okay, so I'm still behind in two (technically) of my classes, but I'm not worried. It's not really as much as I thought. And I've got time, just not that much.
I check out of my dorm at noon and I'm gone home until Sunday sometime at 1pm. And I've got a busy schedule for the holidays. It is as follows:
Tues, Nov. 25-- Check out, pick up Mom from work, prepare shopping lists, check Christmas lights, make admendments to shopping list.
Wed, Nov. 26-- Go with Mom to pick up her check, shop for rest of Thanksgiving stuff, fill out for advance on Income Tax, possibly go see Twilight
Thurs, Nov. 27-- Turkey Day! Cooking, eating, cleaning up, sleeping
Fri, Nov. 28-- Black Friday! This is the first time I'll have ever shopped on Black Friday! I'm so excited! I really get to be the aggressive shopper I am because it's actually expected on this day!
Sat, Nov. 29-- Decorate my house for Xmas. One of my favorite things to do! This means listening to Xmas music and swearing at my decorations...and planning as I go...I love it!
Sun, Nov. 30-- Pack for dorm, get back to dorm, do any remaing homework that absolutely needs to be done.
What's great about this is my exams start Dec. 5 and I can check out of my dorm on Dec. 11. I only have two actual exams--and I've got a week to work on one of them. I have a book report, of sorts, due in American History I on the day of the exam--which is comprehensive. I've got a paper (8-10 pages) due in Chaucer by the 10th. And my Creative Writing Portfolio is due on Dec. 5. I also work in between these days.
So, gotta go now. I'm at work once again. Must go check email and harrass my fellow RPGers.

Searching for People's Blogs...
So, I found this one blog because it was featured on "Blogs of Note." It was really great, cuz the woman posts all these book challenges. So, then, I start to think: "Hey, maybe there's a movie challenge blog or some other challenge blog that I might like."
Have you ever tried to find blogs on this site? If you have, I need a little help. How do you do it?How do you search blogger? Hmmm...well, I'm not giving up just yet. I'm off!

Oh Yeah...I'm in College...I Guess I Forgot
I"m so F**king behind in my schoolwork. Let me lay it out for you: I've got a Chaucer paper that needs a subject, TWO Linguistics tests that need finishing, and Creative Writing...stuff that needs to be done. I've done zip. Well, I've Nano-ed. That's about it. Actually, I should be doing something of that list--including NaNo--right now.
Okay, just a little mini-rant here. God, I've got so much to do...

The 2009 Pub Challenge
So, I heard of it from another blog I was reading, and I thought it might be interesting. So, here's my official sign-up for it.
Thanks to those 2008 Pub challenge participants who made it a great success! I hope you’ll consider joining the 2009 Pub as well. For those who didn’t participate last year but want to read more 2009 releases, join us. New members are always welcome! The challenge lasts for all of 2009.
Here are the 2009 rules:
1) Read a minimum of 9 books first published in 2009. You don’t have to buy these. Library books, unabridged audios, or ARCs are all acceptable. To qualify as being first published in 2009, it must be the first time that the book is published in your own country. For example, if a book was published in Australia, England, or Canada in 2008, and then published in the USA in 2009, it counts (if you live in the USA). Newly published trade paperbacks and mass market paperbacks do not count if there has been a hardcover/trade published before 2009. Any questions on what qualifies? Just leave a comment here, and I’ll respond with the answer.
2) No children’s/YA titles allowed, since we’re at the ‘pub.’
3) At least 5 titles must be fiction.
4) Crossovers with other challenges are allowed.
5) You can add your titles as you go, and they may be changed at any time.
6) Sign up here: http://1morechapter.com/pub/?p=1
Have fun reading your 2009 books!
I'll post more of my books as they come, but one of which I'll be reading is Vampire Hunter D Volume 12: Pale Fallen Angels Part II, which is released sometime in March!

Writing and Such...
So, it's Day 3 of Nano, and I'm at 4, 022 words. I'm planning on writing at least 2,000 more tonight. And I'm excited. I'm not showing it as much as some, but I really am. I don't feel the excitement when I step back, but when I'm in the middle of working on my baby--my beloved Dark Mistress and the Lady of Light--I can feel that old excitement and sheer delirium coursing through me. I was so happy to discover that all of the most important songs that I listened to while writing the original draft were all still on my computer.
And on top of that, I have the sudden urge to produce, like, 5 different chapters of fanfiction. A chapter of each of the following: Untested, How to Be a Dhampire, All Fall Down, Currently Untitled First Chapter of the Sequel to the "Proclaiming Love" series, and Tip of the Theological. Hmm...maybe I will. Plus still get the desired and needed word count. We'll see...

Challenges, and Schoolwork, and Life...Oh my!
Okay, so NaNoWriMo is just around the corner. I need just a few more notes and a clean desk to start going...at the appropriate time, of course. Also, I heard about this reading challenge that I think I'm going to participate in. More on that later.
Schoolwork wise...I've got to get a move on with my creative writing homework. Also, I have a US History I quiz on Thurs. (not worried about that), a Chaucer paper that needs a subject, and two linguists tests that need finishing.
And life...well...I'm worried about Xmas money. I'm worried about my grades this semester. I'm planning (might as well say) my wedding to take place probably on the first weekend of November in 2010. I've figured out that to have my 4 kids and have a year to just be married to Preston, I'd have to have my first kid by the time I'm 25. People, I'm 22. I turn 23 on March 8th. I could vomit a little. I also have to make sure Preston has an apartment before my fall semester next year so I can have a place to live. I also have to get my license this summer. Not to mention a car ASAP I can after I have my license. Let's see...what else is weighing on my mind...
I might have covered it all. On a lighter note, Ren Faire this year was a blast! Ran into a lot of friends. Slink, Savvy, Preston, and myself are thinking about putting up a booth next year. I think that sounds like a great idea. Getting the space shouldn't be a problem...I'm going to do masks, oils, and whatever else I can think of. I wonder if there is a place I can get a discount if I buy a bulk of masks? Hmmm...
I'm playing Order of Eccelsia, by the way, and it's freakin' awesome! And I'm reading my newest D book! Vampires, vampires, all around me! I could squee! Speaking of which, I need to watch some True Blood tonight (Eric!!!!!). As well as some Stargate (Rodney!!!!!!). Well, gotta go. I'm about to have to start closing the LRC. Yes, I'm at work again. I'm a bad bad girl. See you!
